CHAN×CO

CHAN×CO (pronounced chan-ko) is an amateur male illustrator. However, he has become very well-known in the Vocaloid world for his very cute and distinctive chibi illustrations.

Some random facts about him is that he likes AMANO Tsukiko’s songs, lives in Chiba prefecture, and uses a Wacom Intuos 3 in a Windows XP environment. Also, despite producing such cute stuff, he is indeed male. He is part of ZANEEDS a Vocaloid music group led by composer ZANIO, as their illustrator.

His chibi style speaks for itself as it is actually instantly recognizable, but his regular, serious attempt drawings are also easily distinguishable. They are characterized by very clean lines, relatively vibrant colours, and kind of an anime-style solid shading and lighting, but with a little less contrast between shades to make it seem smoother.

He rarely draws backgrounds for his pictures, and usually paints on a single colour canvas. To put it shortly, everything abut his style screams clean and sleek. However, he sometimes wanders out of his normal style and puts out some very quality work, such as this popular picture.

[Project DIVA 2] ~More Info~

SEGA will be releasing a sequel to the original Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- game and this time round the platform will still be for the PSP. New songs and features will be available for the sequel.

“Snow Miku Nendoroid Puchi” by Good Smile Company, was released as part of “VOCALOID SEASON COLLECTION ～SNOW SONGS～” music CD was officially out on February 3rd, 2010. The price for this CD (bundled with Snow Miku Nendoroid Puchi) is set to be at 2,000 yen each and is limited to 10,000 copies only.

Nico Nico Douga hit 10 million uploads on March 19 night, approximately 3 years and 1 week after the site went live. It’s a major milestone and everyone involved at Niwango should be proud. So who got the magic 10 million?

[Black★Rock Shooter] The Animation

The B★RS animation site announced that the 50-minute anime will be streamed for free June 25th through August 31st. It is unclear at this point if it’ll be Japan-only or not. This is all part of a big promo push during that time that starts with a free DVD extra as part of Hobby Japan magazine.

Also announced was two of the cast members. Playing the role of Kuroi Mato is Kana Hanazawa (Potemayo, Cencoroll, To Love-Ru), and Takanashi Yomi will be voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro (Rozen Maiden, Di Gi Charat, Galaxy Angel, Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei).

However, more of the cast will be announced at a later date. Good Smile representative Aki Takanori, illustrator huke, director Shinobu Yoshioka, Ordet studio head Yutaka Yamamoto, and others will appear at the program.

Bandai x Max Factory is going to release the Chogokin Hatsune Miku ( 超合金初音ミク ) non-scale action figure from the popular singing synthesizer application “Vocaloid 2″ by YAMAHA. Hobby Japan magazine Vol.5&6 2010 mail-in exclusive.

They didn't solve the screw problem... But there are people who like it.

Hiyama Kiyoteru (氷山キヨテル) is a Japanese Vocaloid released in December 4, 2009. He was developed by AH Software. He is meant to be portrayed as a sensei (teacher). His treble range is supposedly smooth, which allows for an easier usage of the higher octaves. He was illustrated by Yuusuke Kozaki. His design is of a young school teacher.


He's a nice teacher usually what you think of a teacher. He does like being nice and hates being angry. If he gets angry, watch out. He will argue to prove his point and will keep arguing until some type of compromise is determined. He loves kids, he has a soft spot for them and lets things slide if they do something bad. With other people, he's more stern and serious, but usually tries to be as loose as possible. He INSISTS on people going to school no matter what their age and usually you'll be dragged to class if you don't. He usually is stressed and hates being mistaken for some type of jerk or business man. His specialty subject is math. He is Kaai Yuki's homeroom teacher. On his days off, he plays in a rock band, "Ice Mountain Teru".
