On October 9th, a spokesman of Yamaha was invited to talk about the future of the Vocaloid software as well as their possible position in Future Media. The video will hit on the future Vocaloid engine, which is basically Vocaloid3 in essence.
The first few minutes are about how Vocaloid is nowadays, and what they had done for each succession of the Vocaloid2. In other words, how Luka improves from Rin/Len and how the two improves from Miku and so on. And the last minute and a half is how they expect Vocaloid3 to be and its possible position in Future Media.
Yamaha would like to create a new Vocaloid engine which sounds more realistic, and they would like to work on a better sound input system which does not restrict the Vocaloid in any ways.
