[Black★Rock Shooter] The Animation

The B★RS animation site announced that the 50-minute anime will be streamed for free June 25th through August 31st. It is unclear at this point if it’ll be Japan-only or not. This is all part of a big promo push during that time that starts with a free DVD extra as part of Hobby Japan magazine.

Also announced was two of the cast members. Playing the role of Kuroi Mato is Kana Hanazawa (Potemayo, Cencoroll, To Love-Ru), and Takanashi Yomi will be voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro (Rozen Maiden, Di Gi Charat, Galaxy Angel, Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei).

However, more of the cast will be announced at a later date. The Nico Nico Douga video-streaming website will host the Black Rock Shooter production crew on its Toriaezu Namachū program's Okinawa Special Week. Good Smile representative Aki Takanori, illustrator huke, director Shinobu Yoshioka, Ordet studio head Yutaka Yamamoto, and others will appear at the program.
